5 ways to make content creation easier

Repeat after me: content creation doesn’t have to be difficult…

I mean it, content creation can be made so much easier. So easy that it’ll soon become second nature, if you go about it the write way.

Lucky for you, I’ve written this blog post to give you 5 easy tricks to implement that will transform the way you create content in the future!

Figure out who you are creating content for…

By this I mean, who is your target client/customer? Because you’re not going to create content that converts, if you don’t know who you’re aiming your content at.

Ask yourself:

  • Who do you want to be known to?

  • What problem do you solve for them?

  • Where can you find them online?

  • What content attracts them to brands?

  • What drives them to make a purchase?

Once you’ve answered these, then you’re one step closer to making content that they’ll love, and that will drive them to buy from you.

Look for inspiration outside of your niche.

Stop looking at your competitors content. It won’t solve anything for you other than send you into a panic because your content isn’t like theirs! And when you start comparing yourself to others, imposter syndrome often rears it ugly head and you’re more likely to do nothing. Which doesn’t bode well for promoting yourself and your brand online.

Instead, why not look for inspiration from creators completely unconnected to your industry. You’ll see yourself finding ideas that you can adapt to your brand, and new trends too.

Another benefit of doing this, is that your content will then start to stand out from the range of content from within your industry that looks the same.

Repurpose your content.

If you do anything today, do this.

Take the time to look at your content analytics and consider:

  • Which pieces of content got the best reach?

  • Which pieces of content got the most engagement?

  • Which pieces of content got you the most website traffic?

  • Which pieces of content got you the most sales?

Then, take these pieces of content and recreate them. A reel could be repurposed into a blog post, or a carousel post. If a piece of content did well on Instagram, maybe it might we worth adapting it for LinkedIn or TikTok? But don’t forget to recreate it for the original platform as well.

Be creative and start re-creating the content that has previously performed well, as the likelihood is your entire following won’t have seen the first post.

Create a content schedule that works for you.

There is so much conflicting advice out there in regards to how much you should post online.

Yes, posting daily, or even multiple times a day may eventually get you more reach than posting 3-4 times a week, But it’s also the quickest way to content creation burnout. Instead decide on a schedule that is realistic for you and your time constraints, and then create a schedule that fits that.

You’re more likely to stick to a schedule that works for you, than trying to post every day which will last a week before you burn out. Stick to your schedule, because consistent, regular content on your schedule, even if it’s only 3 times a week is a far better strategy than the other one, because you’ll be more visible as you’ll stick to posting content in the long-term.

Utilise scheduling tools.

I’m not saying create a months worth of content at once. That will feel very overwhelming and then you won’t create anything.

But sticking to your content schedule, and creating and scheduling a week’s content in advance is very accomplishable. And it’ll free up time for you to focus on other areas of your business, because you won’t be spending hours each day coming up with one post.

Even if you have a rough outline of what you will be posting, you can batch create the visuals at the start of the month, and then at the start of each week, create that weeks posts and schedule them ahead of time.

You’ll probably find that once you start creating content in one sitting, you’ll start finding it much easier and the ideas will start flowing faster thus making content creation much easier.

If you need a recommendation for a scheduling tool, I use Planable and love it (this is an affiliate link).

In summary:

You can make your content creation much easier, and it doesn’t have to be complicated. because spending loads of time on content just isn’t feasible for most business owners.

You can:

  • Take a look at who you’re creating content for.

  • Look for inspiration outside of your niche.

  • Repurpose your content.

  • Create a content schedule.

  • Schedule content in advance.
